The Meeting
The Most Important 'Meal' of the Day
'It is not net-sit, it is not net-eat, it is net-work' - Ivan Misner PhD Founder and CEO of BNI
The essence of BNI is that although the meeting takes place at breakfast the sole reason for coming is to network! Efficiency and timings are maintained because every BNI meeting follows a structured 20 point agenda.
You will get a choice of breakfast from our menu ranging from full British breakfast to fruit and croissants at every meeting.
At the heart of the BNI meeting are the ‘60 Seconds presentations’, where each member has the opportunity to tell their fellow members and visitors around the table about their business, what referrals they are seeking, as well as the benefits of their product or service. The objective of the ‘60 Seconds’ is to help other members and visitors understand the other members business benefits and to help to generate business for each other.
Sixty seconds may seem to be the briefest of presentations, however, BNI have developed a system to harness the power of this format, and regularly organise free training workshops to allow members to develop their presentations, as well as effective ways to ensure that the message is remembered.
This system has immense practical benefits outside BNI: In any networking situation, the BNI member is trained to be able to give an instant and concise account of what they do.
