JNET is an internet radio station which launched in June 2009 in the UK to provide a Jewish point of view on the world at large. Our aim is to provide a new voice, new opinions and a new attitude that represents our community.
Our market research shows that our UK audience alone numbers some 270,000, primarily in the ABC1 social demographic. One of the key benefits of internet radio is the ability to reach a larger and more global audience than the traditional ‘over the air’ FM and DAB radio. However, our initial target audience comprises of the Greater London area that accounts for nearly 70% of the UK Jewish population.
The weekly programming schedule, hosted by experienced presenters, contains a balanced and mixed variety of shows. This ensures that our aim of targeting our very diverse and mixed audience is achieved. Our core output is be 50:50 music to speech,
The programming includes debates & discussions with live phone-ins, music covering all genres, sport, business & political current affairs, lifestyle, women’s programmes plus listen again shows and podcasts via the website.
Our marketing, pr, press, publicity, internet and social networking strategies mean that JNET Radio will enjoy a highly visible place in the media.
